We engaged Paul in November 2011 to renovate a cottage we had bought outside Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire. Over the course of the following 6 to 8 months, Paul worked with his team to restore and refurbish the cottage. The cottage had many years before been owned by members of my family and we wished to restore it in a sympathetic fashion.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Paul Johnson on the basis of the work he has done for us. Throughout the process, Paul was assiduous in finding out what we wanted and finding solutions to problems that arose. The quality of the work is extremely high, with lighting and joinery being of a particularly high standard.
What was perhaps the most impressive feature of Paul’s work for us, was that we were based in London throughout the entire refurbishment. Paul kept us fully informed of progress on a weekly basis, and uploaded dozens of photos each week onto his secure site so we could check how things were going.
Paul took great trouble to ensure we were happy with any new additions or solutions he needed to find, and he was very careful to stick within budget or to square any additional expenditure with us in advance.
