DUCHY - HARROGATE
For this project Roomroom created a bespoke shaker style hand-built dressing room. Simplicity is key within this design as it includes mostly hidden storage. This included combinations of storage to organise all clothing, shoes and accessories.
The overall neutral tones of this dressing room contrast well
with the feature island. Open shelving with LED lighting used
to create a focal point.

DESIGN BRIEF
Whilst looking beautiful the space had to be functional and well organised. This included a mixture of storage consisting of tall double door wardrobes with long hanging and double hanging.
Additional corner cabinets for occasional and seasonal dresswear. Open shelving was introduced as part of the brief to add a focal point to the room. The client particularly wanted a central dressing room island to add additional storage for easy reach items such as jewellery and accessories.

PRODUCTION DRAWINGS
Once the design concept is finalised and approved, detailed production drawings are produced enabling the project to be manufactured to the designer’s exact specification. These drawings also provide a clear and comprehensive plan for the entire project, guiding contractors and ensuring that every aspect of the design is executed to a high standard. The installation date is confirmed once the plans are sent off to manufacture.
THE DESIGN DETAILS
Inframe bespoke furniture with exposed hinges and mid rail detail. Although modern colours were chosen for the hand painting of the cabinetry, traditional skirting profile and tall feature cornice to suit the period of the property. Little Greene Paint Company Inox was used for the outer wardrobes and Basalt blue for the contrasting island. LED Lighting internally with sensors behind doors. Dressing room island with 12 oak dovetail drawers. Compartmental linings included to organise all accessories. Ambiente Cemento worktop in matt finish with chamfered edge detail.

Luxurious tones and finishes carefully selected to create a calm and tranquil space. The combination of neutral finishes work well together with a range of textures to add depth and warmth. Considered design can elevate your bedroom to the rest of your home.
