HAREWOOD

Roomroom collaborated with the client to create this traditional bespoke kitchen, enhanced with a modern flair. The clients spent five years applying and reapplying for planning permission. The project was significantly large and involved a substantial orangery across the back of the house to maximise the views across the beautiful Harewood Estate . The orangery would transform the layout of the ground floor of this recently built traditional stone property creating an opulent ambience. The rear of the property was reconfigured to create one luxurious space for cooking, dining, entertaining and relaxing.

Bespoke raised & fielded oval shoulder kitchen with skirting plinth. Curved drop down ceiling with led lighting and antique mirror inlay.

DESIGN BRIEF

It was essential that the kitchen design complimented the newly built orangery, so the space flowed as one. The overall brief was to incorporate traditional furniture  that combines the warmth and charm of classic design with modern functionality and style. Neutral tones to be used for a calm, classic backdrop with accent colours like deep blues to add richness and depth. This would create a light space enhanced by the orangery glass with contrasts to draw the eye and add visual interest.

PRODUCTION DRAWINGS

After the design concept is finalized and approved, detailed production drawings are created to ensure the project is manufactured to the designer’s precise specifications. These drawings serve as a clear and comprehensive blueprint for the entire project, guiding contractors and guaranteeing that every element of the design is executed to a high standard. The installation date is confirmed once the plans are submitted for manufacturing.
